This is from our guest blogger Mary (Wes’ grandma):
Save the date!
We will be holding a benefit to raise money for Wes’ family to help ease their financial burden while caring for Wes during his journey through chemotherapy and other surgeries to treat his cancer.
The benefit will be held at High Noon Saloon – 701 E Washington Ave. – from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Sat. Nov. 3.
There will be food (thank you Bunky’s Cafe!!), fun (a DJ, possibly a live auction and a comedy troupe performance), and a cash bar!
What we need right now:
*donations for the auction (this will be either a live auction or a silent auction and possible some on-line auction items) – examples of items already donated are Packers game tickets, jewelry, salsa gift basket, gift certificates to local restuarants
***there will be a flyer added soon that you can use to take to businesses to ask for items to donate to the auction
*volunteers to help with advertising – distributing flyers, contacting newspapers/radio stations/TV stations
*volunteers to make gold ribbons for all attendees
*volunteers to decorate/set-up before the event
*volunteers to clean-up after the event
*a live auctioneer – someone must know someone out there that has this special skill!
All donations can be sent to: The Dog Haus c/o Mary Schuldies 410 Atlas Ave. Madison, WI 53714. We’d like to receive all items by 10/26/12 to have time to catalogue everything!
If you would like to volunteer for any of the items above, please go to this link and leave a comment:
